Screenwriter for "Runner, Runner" Gives Thoughts on Online Gambling

While we are all impatiently wating for the release of the gambling movie "Runner, Runner" there is a lot going on concerning the movie crew and political issues about online gambling. We don't mean to sound too serious, but we are excited that the screenwriter of "Rounders" told All In Magazine how he really feels about the whole issue of legalizing gambling in the United States. Brian Koppelman is well known for his involvement in gambling related movies, he is the screenwriter for several world famous movies like 'Ocean's Thirteen', 'Rounders' and 'Runner, Runner'. At an interview with All In Magazine he revealed his thoughts on the matter, something a lot of people wanted to understand due to his multiple portrayals of the gambling world found in his scripts. "We're just huge fans of online gambling. It should be legalized, regulated and people should be able to play. Americans are great at making decisions about where they want to use their knowledge," said Koppelman.

We all know that a lot of people are not happy about the current legal situation in the United States. Ever since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was passed in 2006, the situation with the online gambling industry has been going downhill, and it is important that influential people are starting to take an open stance in the matter. So far, Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey have already legalized online gambling and are in the process of granting licenses to online casino operator to offer online casino games to residents of the states.
