Playtech Completes Live Casino Studio

Playtech has announced the completion of the industry's largest migration of dedicated live casino rooms to its next generation studio in Riga, Latvia. Now all of Playtech’s licensees that subscribe to its live casino product are being serviced from the new state-of-the-art studio.Recapping the events, the Playtech press release stated that the first step was taken in mid-2016 with the acquisition of a prime 8,500 square meter site on top of the city's fortified 16th century walls. This area is much larger than the live casino studio of any other software provider. A core studio was immediately started, which began to support existing operations while the new site was being developed and opened in a meticulously planned, phased manner.

The first dedicated room went live in April 2017, with Sky Casino migrating to the new site. The remaining licensees, including bet365, Coral, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power Betfair, are now fully operating from their dedicated studios in the complex. The amazing feature of this Playtech live casino is that each licensee is operating from a studio that has been developed and designed in line with its specific requirements. The benefits have begun to accrue. Playtech has reported a significant increase in players. The licensees have given phenomenal feedback on how pleased and excited they are with each new offering.

Apart from existing licensees, several potential new operators have visited the Riga live casino studio and have been blown totally impressed by the operations. The aspect that has most excited them is the creation of unique dedicated experiences. Word is spreading fast to other operators in the market and Playtech expects high growth of customers. For those players who cannot get inside the studio, Playtech provides a teaser of what goes on there. There are hundreds of state-of-the-art cameras, catering for hundreds custom-made tables and gaming areas. These are coordinated from an advanced control and monitoring centre. The complex also has a large-scale dealer campus used to train and develop the live casino staff.
