New Jersey is one of the first states in the United States to launch fully legalized online gambling, and even though the process has been slow, the results we are seeing are wonderful and are paving the way for other states to do the same. As with every process, we all have had to keep up to date with every development in order to make this a functional venture. The sites have already launched in their trial version and the state is getting ready to release the sites to all its residents.

In order to achieve a successful transition, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released some guidelines which detail how players and online casinos are to deal with bonuses and promotions, so that there is no confusion in terms of legal status and procedures. If you live in New Jersey and plan to engage in online casino betting, it is absolutely mandatory that you check out these small summary of rules, so read on. If you do not live in New Jersey, we still recommend that you check them out because they might make you feel jealous that you do not get to gamble online there.

- Online casino operators can offer bonuses with a wagering requirement, and players must be allowed to withdraw the amount of their original deposit when their accounts have a positive balance.

- When a player's account balance is zero all bonuses and promotions end, and operators do not have to carry forward the wagering requirements to the player's next deposit.

- Online casino operators may require that a player's first bet comes from their own deposit before the money coming from a bonus offer is wagered.

- Players may abandon a bonus offer at any point and cash out their initial deposit if it still remains in thir account balance.

- Online casino operators must fully disclose terms and conditions of all promotions and bonuses, including details on requirements and cashouts.

- There may not be a cap on winnings resulting from a bonus offer.

- Online gambling restrictions do not apply when the bonus offers and promotions are associated with the operator's land gambling promotions.

- On November 21st and 22nd players will be restricted to eight hours of real money play and operators may only extend play time from 6pm to 2am on these days. On November 23rd the hours will be from 8am until midnight. The online casinos will begin operating 24 hours a dsy on November 24th and 25th.
