Microgaming had announced the development of a dragon themed online slot game called Dragonz. The period of expectant waiting will soon get over when Dragonz hits all Microgaming powered online casinos on November 2. Flint, Switch, Frost and Gobble are cute and almost cuddly creatures with traits befitting their names.

The first impression you get of the Dragonz online slot game from the video promos is one of high visual quality with fluid 3D animation. The dragons as well as the background landscapes are beautifully crafted. Microgaming has chosen to go with the 243 ways to win structure in Dragonz. There are the usual wild and scatter symbols and payout multipliers, but Microgaming has gone way beyond that in the gaming features. It has introduced a new feature called Wild Deal that may get triggered randomly after a non-winning wild symbol lands on the third reel. The feature distributes extra wild symbols onto the reels in such a manner that a win is guaranteed.

When the free spins round is triggered, each of the dragons awards its own set with features that Microgaming has introduced for the first time. To make things more interesting the features have to do with each dragon’s innate nature. So Flint awards an increasing number of Flaming Wilds with each spin. Frost converts the non-winning wilds into Frosty Wilds that remain fixed on the reels. They thaw out when they take part in a winning combination. Gobble, the hungry dragon, turns symbols into Winning Wilds that remain fixed for the remainder of the free spins. Switch introduces Stashed Wilds. There will be a flash of lightning after three or more wilds have been stashed and you will end up with more payouts. For the first 12 triggers of the feature, you will play the free spins in the set sequence. After that the player’s choice is unlocked and you can go with your favourite dragon.
