Big Companies Launching Online Gambling Sites in Nevada

For those unaware, one of the largest casino management companies in the world decided to go virtual with a high quality product. Caesars Entertainment, owner of some of the largest casinos in the Las Vegas Strip, is launching an online gambling site under the World Series of Poker brand name. The site will be open to players in the jurisdiction of Nevada and it is expected to be of really high quality. We don't want to get into the details too soon, but we already have a good chunk of information to share with you.
Caesars Entertainment joined the online gambling world today, with the launch of their World Series of Poker website. This is the second real money gambling website in Nevada, since the state legalized online gambling and set up a formal process for companies to obtain licenses. This website is joining Station Casinos' Ultimate Poker website which launched in April, 2013.
A spokesperson for the World Series of Poker virtual website, Seth Palansky, gave out information concerning the details of the site, which includes the ability to multi-table and play all stake levels. “The stakes are much lower. You can start at one cent, two cents online,” Palansky said. “You can do about four times as many hands online an hour than you can in a casino.” He also reported a few glitches players found on the site that are expected to be resolved promptly: “There's hiccups with people depositing with certain types of credit cards, because some banks refuse gaming transactions, things like this that will resolve themselves once these third parties recognize this is a real business that’s regulated.” .
An industry expert and gaming researcher at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), David Schwartz, gave out his opinion and stated that he expects to see more quality sites come into the picture very soon. “There's clearly this built up demand for online poker and now we have two companies providing it and I think that number is just going to grow,” Schwartz said.
Also, Schwartz commented that these sites will generate substantial revenue for the state of Nevada. “There's a couple areas of economic impact. First, is going to be the direct gaming revenue tax that the state is going to get. The second is going to be jobs created, maintaining the site, doing compliance, doing customer service,” Schwartz stated.
