The AGA Uses Runner Runner to Push for Regulated Gambling

Everyone will be in for a treat when gambling organizations finish their production of pro-gambling advertising material linked to the world famous gambling movie "Runner Runner". The movie is set to premiere on October 4th of this year, and gambling groups like the American Gaming Association are using the film for political purposes already.
"Runner, Runner" is a Fox movie starring Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake in a gambling thriller. Timberlake is a college student who spends all of his tuition money in an online poker site. Once he discovers that the site is ran from a remote island he goes there to confront the owner, Affleck, in order to get his money back. The story takes a twist when Timberlake becomes Affleck's right-hand in the business, but things get a little messier when the FBI gets involved.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) is using the upcoming movie to push for legislation and regulation of online gambling in the United States. They are preparing ads and discussion screenings related to the film in a creative attempt to distinguisg between the chaotic online gambling world the movie portrays and the federally regulated market the AGA would like to set in place.
The AGA is proposing that a well regulated and supervised market will protect online casino players against fraud and will increase revenues for both the companies and the government. Geoff Freeman, AGA's President, stated that the organization's plan is to propose that the film underlines all the risks that a poorly regulated market entails in the hope that it will be an eye opener for those making legal decisions.
The AGA has worked side by side with the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) to push for a federal online gambling bill that will ideally result in a uniform market with regulations in place. The PPA's executive director, John Pappas, also added something interesting concerning the movie: "People very well could get the wrong idea. Not all offshore operators are unregulated bad guys. This is a dramatization, let's be clear about that. It shows what could be happening in a worst-case scenario."
We hope their plan works because the US online gambling market is one of the largest ones in the world, and it has been severely affected by local regulations that forbid players from making financial transactions with online gambling websites. If this project is successful it could benefit millions of players in Us territory.
