In fact, the Auto Play feature allows you to wager on online slot games without even being present. You can set the slot machine on Auto Play and then attend to your other tasks and the game will play on by itself.

The Auto Play feature is activated by clicking on the button provided in the toolbar. A set up box opens when you do that. You can enter the number of spins that you want. Some software providers require you to select the number of spins from the options provided. Leading software providers also include a number of conditions in the Auto Play set up box. You can check one or more of these conditions. If any of the checked conditions are met after a spin, then the Auto Play will terminate before the set number of spins are completed. These conditions include stopping when a jackpot is won, stopping when a win exceeds a specified amount, stopping when the cumulative amount won increases by a specified amount and stopping when the cumulative losses are greater than a specified amount. Expert slots players usually set a win limit and a stop loss limit. Once they have won a certain amount they would not like to risk losing that amount by wagering more. Also they would not like to let their losses go out of control. The Auto Play conditions allow them to stay within these limits even if they are not physically monitoring the game.

There is one disadvantage in using the Auto Play feature. You are constrained to run all the sets spins with the same number of enabled paylines, the same number of coins per payline and the same coin denomination. Also, some software providers automatically abort the Auto Play when a bonus feature is triggered.
