You are playing blackjack and have a hand value of 19. In normal circumstances you would be crazy to hit. But not if you are playing Double Exposure Blackjack and the dealer has two tens. That is right. In Double Exposure Blackjack both the dealer’s initial cards are dealt face up. If you hit you are likely to bust and lose. But if you stand then you have already lost. So you have to hit in the hope of landing the elusive deuce.

Being able to see both the dealer's cards loads the game heavily in favour of the player in different ways. For example, if dealer's hand value is hard 17 or more, then the dealer cannot draw another card and the player's target is absolutely clear. Even otherwise, the uncertainty in the dealer’s final hand value is considerably reduced. So there is less uncertainty in the player’s decision making.

If the payouts in Double Exposure Blackjack were the same as in normal online blackjack variants then the average return to the player will exceed 100%. Therefore, some compensation is required. The player has to pay the price of being able to see both the dealer’s cards. The main change is that blackjack hands pays at 1 to 1 in Double Exposure instead of at 3 to 2 as in normal online blackjack games. In normal blackjack variants all ties push and the bet is returned to the player. In Double Exposure Blackjack all ties, except blackjack tie, are resolved in favour of the dealer and the player loses the bet.

Double Exposure Blackjack can be played at all Microgaming powered online casinos like Platinum Play, Jackpot City and Roxy Palace. It is from the Microgaming Gold Series online casino table games. You play the game on an elegant casino table. Playing in the Expert Mode provides extra gaming features. One of these is Auto Play. It allows you to play a set number of deals at a fixed bet amount. The feature allows you to enter some conditions to stop the Auto Play before the set number of deals is completed. Auto Play functions without any intervention from the player. This means that the software has to decide the moves to be made by the player. In order to ensure that the computer makes the correct moves, there is a strategy card included in Double Exposure Blackjack. Even if the player is making the moves on his own, he can access the strategy card.
